What's odd about that is that in the 1967 set, he had his OWN card while with the White Sox. I think the same thing was done with Frank Bertaina. He's on the Orioles and Senators rookies cards in '66 and '67, but also had his own card in 1965 (I think).

Some other multiple appearances on rookie cards are: Bob Davis was on 4 or 5 of then in the 1960s, ending with the '69 Padres rookies;
Ron Stone was on Athletics, Orioles, and Phillies rookie cards in the 1960s;
Lou Piniella was on 3 cards, ending with the '69 Pilots Rookies.Jim from Downingtownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01537007940455183397noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3417186274715068618.post-37482172472725610752012-03-21T20:09:01.342-04:002012-03-21T20:09:01.342-04:00Topps did some screwy things back then...wait unti...Topps did some screwy things back then...wait until Friady, I have an example of a card where Topps issued a multi-player "rookie" card after that player had already been on a card all by himself.Chris Stufflestreethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04229983444919282224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3417186274715068618.post-36739426297513952452012-03-21T17:28:52.137-04:002012-03-21T17:28:52.137-04:00Interesting. The latter two Reynolds cards should really have been "Traded" cards since he is on a new team with each card.

I wonder how often topps included a player a second time (or more) on a "Rookie" card. Somewhere in my collection I noticed a couple of Rookie cards from the '60s that had the same player on them and they were 2 or 3 years apart. I forget who the player was but I think he was with the Mets on one of them. They were later 60s I think like '65 and '67 or '67 and '69. Gotta dig through my collection again and try to "rediscover" those two cards.CaptKirk42https://www.blogger.com/profile/16039278539984069944noreply@blogger.com
